The volunteer thanked TeamViewer for the positive decision and asked it to confirm that the implementation restores normal access for users connecting from Syria, and to send an update once the change is complete.

TeamViewer's data protection team replied that the responsible team has already made positive decisions on the Syria restriction and that implementation work is under way, with no timeline to share yet. A human reply, not an automated one.

Having had no substantive reply, the volunteer re-sent the request to privacy@teamviewer.com, asking that it reach Legal, Compliance or Export Control and that the country-wide restriction be reassessed.

A community volunteer wrote to legal@teamviewer.com asking TeamViewer to review its Syria restriction, citing the end of the state-sponsor-of-terrorism designation, the repealed Caesar Act and License Exception SPP for EAR99 software.

A community volunteer emailed TeamViewer's support, sales, legal and privacy teams directly, copying the team, citing OFAC's lifted sanctions and noting that competitor AnyDesk has already restored access in Syria.

A community member's own support ticket with TeamViewer drew a reply asking for an account, sales order or invoice number to proceed. The member explained that Syria's block prevents them from ever having one.

The team emailed TeamViewer's legal department requesting review of Syria IP restrictions under the current post-sanctions OFAC and BIS framework, citing peers who have already restored access.
