Linktree's Trust and Safety team said it had passed the details on, but that it could not tell a country-level block from a problem in the visitor's own setup, and suggested contacting the internet provider or changing DNS. No review outcome was given.

After the volunteer said the block also appears on other internet providers in Syria, Linktree support said it would pass the details to its team to check further and keep the volunteer posted.

After an update from its team, Linktree support asked which internet provider the volunteer uses in Syria and whether the block also appears on another provider, to tell a provider-specific block from a regional one.

Once the volunteer confirmed Linktree works only through a non-Syrian VPN, support said it was escalating the case to its team to investigate and would update shortly. A human reply, with no outcome or timeline yet.

After the volunteer sent a screenshot from Syria showing "Sorry, our service is currently not available in your region", Linktree support asked whether the service works over a VPN.

A second community volunteer wrote to legal@linktr.ee, citing Linktree's geo-blocking policy and Terms clause 22 and the removal of the Syrian Sanctions Regulations, and asked for a review or the legal basis if the restriction stays.

A Linktree support agent replied to the follow-up and asked the volunteer for a screenshot of the restriction before proceeding. This was a human reply, following an automated acknowledgment from Linktree's AI assistant.

A community volunteer followed up with Linktree's legal and support teams, noting no substantive reply to an earlier request, and asked them to reassess the blanket Syria restriction while keeping sanctions screening in place.

A community volunteer wrote to Linktree's legal team requesting that access for Syria be enabled, citing the lifted US and EU sanctions and other companies that have already restored access. No response has been received.
