As investigated in February 2026, Ko-fi relies on PayPal and Stripe to process payments, so Syrian creators cannot receive payouts because neither processor currently supports Syria. Even if Ko-fi lifted its own restrictions, the underlying payment processors would have to enter Syria first. No outreach to the company has been made yet.
