A community screenshot in February 2026 showed the site fully inaccessible from inside the country, and further testing in April 2026 returned a custom "Error 403 - Unavailable" page rejecting the request as suspicious. The team asked the parent company to review the Syria IP restrictions in April 2026 and received no reply. In August 2026 a community volunteer sent a wider petition covering the company's whole publishing portfolio, including IGN.
