Sign-upFails

Creating an ETS account from Syria failed: the ETS account portal (idaas.ets.org) returned an "Access denied" error page saying the request had been blocked, so no account for the TOEFL or Praxis exams could be made.

Sign-inFails

The ETS login page (idaas.ets.org/u/login) refused a request from a Syrian connection with an "Access denied" error, so signing in is blocked as well. This was seen during an attempt to create an account, not while signing in to an existing one.

Activity Summary

ETS's availability in Syria is listed as unknown. After a volunteer raised reported TOEFL and Praxis sign-up blocks in August 2026, support said ETS indicates no specific Syria restrictions and asked for error details, and the volunteer followed up in September.

Community Updates

The volunteer followed up, noting that a community test recorded in February 2026 showed an access denied error when creating a TOEFL or Praxis account, and asked ETS's technical team to test the full new-user registration flow from Syria.
