## Progress timeline

- 2026-10-14 — Under Company Review (Community Updates). ROUVY support said its infrastructure team, which manages traffic from sanctioned countries, believes Syria is not blocked and will review the question. It suggested a test from Syria.
- 2026-10-13 — Contacted Company (Community Updates). A Syrian competitive cyclist asked ROUVY whether cyclists in Syria can register, ride, join events and pay, and asked it to have its compliance team reassess any Syria restriction.

## Context

These are geo-restrictions the companies applied themselves, not filtering by Syrian ISPs and not a legal requirement. US and EU sanctions on Syria were lifted in 2025.
