## About

Polar's web and mobile service for syncing and analysing training, activity, heart rate and sleep data from Polar watches and sensors

## Activity summary

Availability in Syria is unknown. A Syrian cyclist asked Polar in October 2026 about access to Polar Flow from Syria, and its customer care passed the question to Polar's global office.

## Progress timeline

- 2026-10-13 — Escalated (Community Updates). Polar Customer Care replied that it was raising the request with Polar's global office and would report back once it has a response.
- 2026-10-13 — Contacted Company (Community Updates). A Syrian competitive cyclist wrote to Polar's US customer service asking it to route a question on Syria access to Polar Flow and athlete services to Polar's global product and compliance team.

## Context

These are geo-restrictions the companies applied themselves, not filtering by Syrian ISPs and not a legal requirement. US and EU sanctions on Syria were lifted in 2025. See https://unblocksyria.com/llms.txt for the regulatory summary and https://unblocksyria.com/en/about for citations to the specific orders and regulations.
