- 2026-04-11 — Contacted Company. Official outreach email sent to privacy@okta.com requesting review of Syria IP restrictions under the current OFAC and BIS framework.

## Community reports

- 2026-08-28 — Declined. A community member who works on an Okta product raised Syria access with Okta's sales team and forwarded the reply. Okta stated that Syria remains a Tier 4 No Sales Allowed country on its FY27 Serviceable Countries list, and that separately and independently of that list Okta continues to IP block Syria. The reply pointed to two documented routes: a process for requesting that a country be retiered, described in the serviceable countries document, and a form through which customers can request an exemption from the IP block. This is the first substantive answer Okta has given on Syria access; official outreach to the company in April 2026 went unanswered. The restriction is presented as Okta's own commercial tiering and network policy rather than as a sanctions requirement, and the two layers are described as independent, so lifting one would not lift the other.
- 2026-02-17 — Verified. Community verification from Syria confirms Okta remains completely blocked. Accessing okta.com returns a Cloudflare block page stating "Sorry, you have been blocked.
