Partially blocked in Syria. From January 2026 it was confirmed that Syrian businesses cannot add, claim, or edit listings, leaving them invisible on Google Maps. A community member contacted Google Business Profile support, which first said it was reviewing the case but then declined twice, in January and February 2026, with an apparently automated reply stating the service is not launched in Syria. No progress since.

The identical response arrived approximately 30 minutes after the follow-up was sent, strongly suggesting an automated/bot response rather than a human review of the updated sanctions information provided. The request to escalate to the Legal/Compliance team was not acknowledged.
