## About

Full-stack platform for building and hosting web and mobile apps

## Activity summary

Blocked in Syria, confirmed by community testing in March 2026: the Amplify marketing page loads, but every path to deploy an app or create an account is geo-blocked for Syrian users, with the AWS Console returning a 400 Access Restricted error and signup showing a Website Temporarily Unavailable error. The block has been verified, but no outreach to the company has been made yet.

## Community reports

- 2026-03-28 — Verified. Community testing confirmed that AWS Amplify remains blocked in Syria. The commercial landing page at aws.amazon.com/amplify loads successfully. However, clicking "Deploy an app" redirects to console.aws.amazon.com/amplify/create/add-repo where AWS returns a 400 "Access Restricted" error. The "Try a hands-on tutorial" button leads to docs.amplify.aws which loads and allows creating a GitHub repository from a template (a GitHub feature, not AWS), but clicking "Deploy to AWS" from the tutorial redirects to console.aws.amazon.com/amplify/create/repo-branch which also returns a 400 "Access Restricted" error. The pricing page loads, but clicking "Get started for free" redirects to portal.aws.amazon.com/billing/signup where a "Website Temporarily Unavailable" error is displayed. All AWS Console and account creation paths are blocked. ## Context

These are geo-restrictions the companies applied themselves, not filtering by Syrian ISPs and not a legal requirement. US and EU sanctions on Syria were lifted in 2025. See https://unblocksyria.com/llms.txt for the regulatory summary and https://unblocksyria.com/en/about for citations to the specific orders and regulations.
